About Your Resident Foodie

One of my favorite things to do is find the best restaurants....whether its in where we live or during our travels. Many times concierges and websites form partnerships with restaurants in exchange for discounts, advertising, etc. When this happens the client does not always receive the best information. We like to know where the locals eat. Therefore, I created this blog to help other people find the best restaurants...no partnerships, no deals, simply our honest opinions. Enjoy!

Turks and Caicos - Providenciales

As many of you know we recently returned from our magnificent honeymoon to Turks and Caicos. We enjoyed six nights on the main island of Providenciales (Provo) and four nights at the exclusive resort and private island, Parrot Cay. Of course while we were there, we hunted for (and found) the best restaurants on Provo. (Parrot Cay is a private island and resort so it only has two restaurants).

We found the three best restaurants on Provo: Grace Cottage, Coco Bistro and Magnolia. They are all amazing and unique in their own ways.

Grace Cottage is located at Grace Pointe Resort. We stumbled upon this restaurant and resort while walking along the beach. It is a sweet cottage-style restaurant with a beautiful outdoor patio set in the tropical trees. The food and service were both amazing. I can't remember what we ordered since it has now been a couple of months. (However, now that I have gotten this blog up and running I will post closer to the meal so I can give those details).

Our absolute favorite was Coco Bistro. We found this restaurant when we were researching restaurants in the area. Coco Bistro had several positive editorials. It had great food, great service, and a beautiful outdoor setting. Again, I cannot remember what we ate, but I do remember that is was delicious.

Lastly, is Magnolia. An American local that retired on Provo told us about this restaurant. Magnolia has delicious food and the best view on the island. It is set atop a hill above the marina. It is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner with incredible sunset views. We both ordered the seared tuna, and it was amazing.

If and when you visit Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, these restaurants are "must tries". Enjoy!
